Prayer by Phil Nicholson
Tiffany asked that I close Todd’s celebration of life in prayer. Please bow your heads in prayer with me.
Heavenly Father, this is a difficult time for all of us, we miss Todd very much. But we know we can take comfort in the knowledge that he is with you. He may no longer be here with us here in the world you gave us, but he is with us through you, and we will see him again when it is our turn to come home.
Heavenly Father, you tell us through Paul that we do not need to be confused about those that sleep in death and that our grief should not be like the rest of mankind that have no hope. You gave us your son, who died and rose again so that we too, can be with you.
Heavenly Father, you gave us a Savior, a Redeemer that tells us there are many mansions in your house and he will prepare a place for us, He Himself will come to receive us, He promises that where he dwells, we may also dwell.
We thank you Heavenly Father for these truths.
We thank you for the comfort they give us. And we thank you above all that none of us need doubt that Todd is with you restored and unfettered.
Amen

Todd Farrington, 52, walked the earth certain and fearless. An upstanding soldier in all that matters, Todd’s every breath gave life to the armor of God described in Ephesians 6. Todd passed away on October 12 after a valiant fight with glioblastoma.
Born December 2, 1969, in Hollywood, Florida, to Theodore (Ted) Conrad Farrington and Dorothy (Dottie) Barbara Farrington (nee Smith). The impressive combination of Todd’s academic and athletic achievements (swimming and water polo) caught the eye of elite college scouts. Ready to embark on an adventure to a Southern California university, Todd made a last-minute pivot that altered his life forever; West Point was the better for it.
After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, he earned his Ranger Tab and numerous other recognitions. He was stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., Fort Drum, N.Y., Fort Richardson, Alaska, and finally Fort Arlington, Va. Following his army career, Todd enjoyed a career constructing buildings throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Todd made one last life-altering decision: He wanted to serve his brothers- and sisters-in-arms; he became a financial advisor in Boise, Idaho, for First Command Financial Services, ultimately expanding his district and opening 3 offices to ensure financial security for military families in Mountain Home, Idaho, Boise and Spokane, Washington.
Todd is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sheryl Lynn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany, children Ben, Morgan, Paige, Cody (daughter-in-law, Arianna), Logan, and grandson, Micah, brother Dan and sister-in-law, Bibi, and nephews Colton Farrington, Ryan Weber and Nick Capozzi.
Todd’s life was framed by his love for God, his family and his country.
Lay your sword down at His feet, my love.
Rest in our Father’s arms.
